Barely made it to the airport in time for our flight back. Colin is going back to North Carolina and I'm on my way back to Florida. Lots and lots of work left to do. I'll be in my cave editing away.
Today is the last day of shooting the Telos Clothing Co. campaign. Instead of taking it easy and hanging out, we finished up the video portion of the campaign. The guys made sure everything they said was perfect and relatable. I think they did a killer job. And also, sometimes you just got to make do with what you have. To sum up my experience in Jackson, I would have to say that it was an awesome experience for sure. Definitely tested my skills in a lot of new situations that I'm not used to. But, I would rather be tested than to take the easy way out. That's one thing I've learned from being with theses guys. Always push the envelope.
So, we were in the studio all day shooting the coolest people in Jackson. It's just so refreshing seeing people getting behind things they believe in. We definitely couldn't have done it without the help of some of these guys who bent over backwards for us. Here's some behind the scenes. One more day to go and I'm back in good old muggy and hot Florida for some more work.
Today was the first day of the official shoot for the Telos Clothing Co. campaign. A bit stressful, but all in all an awesome day. These guys really did their legwork to make everything run smooth. The weather was perfect and the light was delicious. I met some really awesome down to earth folks being out here. Oh, and if you've been keeping up with this series, there will be about 3 more posts. So, a lot of fresh meat coming your way.
Back at it again. So, these guys had everything working against them to have the hem tags sewed on to these shirts. From the tags being shipped "overnight" which turned into almost 6 days. You can thank DHL for that. Bad timing with seamstresses and potential leads going cold. There was no other choice but to buck up and do the job yourself. In the midst of scouring for needles and thread and mechanical mess, John found a shop called "Stitch 'n Time". Kim, the founder of this magical place took time out of her day to show Colin the ropes. Or thread... hah. And Colin stitched about 80 plus hem tags just in time. This dude was one with the machine. As if sewing a bunch of hem tags wasn't enough, the dude scaled this huge piece of earth. Today was an accomplishment to say the least.
Day 2. This place makes you feel like you're in a time warp. Just getting totally caught up in the surroundings and nature. Still getting awesome light even til 9pm! Scouted some beautiful locations for the shoot this weekend. There's so many options. You could just walk out the front door and it would be great still. But I believe we found some special eyeball treats for this campaign. Oh, and I never mentioned how awesome and dedicated these guys are to their brand. Can't wait for the official release! And again, keep coming back for the next few days for some more nature adventure visual stimulation.
I've been traveling all day from Fort Lauderdale to Jackson, Wyoming. Tired. Bloodshot eyes. But, so worth it. This place is incredibly beautiful and I can't wait to start shooting. I'll be updating this blog everyday, so check back on the daily to get the low down. In the photos you'll see John Mark Herskind and Colin Kiser. Founders of Telos Clothing.
